Dj PsYcHoTiK,

Usually called Patrick Watson, Dj PsYcHoTiK was born in Quebec in 1981, In the year 1999 he started mixing Hard-Acid-Techno music and throwing underground raves partys in the city of Montreal. After the death of the acid techno movement around the world he came in touch with psychedelic trance music and really like the mind exploration this music was inducing in listeners and the intense psychedelism it create on the dancefloor!

After Some years of psychedelic exploration he found Deep & Dark Psychedelic trance to be the perfect balance of musical expression between mind exploration and intense underground dance music, Exactly what the acid techno music failed to provide. He then started back Dj'ing with a new and intense force to provide party freaks a unique musical expérience blowing their mind at the deep frontier of psychedelic exploration. As one of the first DarkPsy Dj in Montréal he was the perfect ambassador of that style around and gladly joined the rank of D-A-R-K Records in 2007 considering that label to be one of the best DarkPsy label of the international scene.

His Dj style his rageous, intense and deeply psychedelic mixing deep&dark pounding beet with mind blowing melodies and sounds, He chose to keep his mixes cruising around 147 to 152 bpm considering the Darkpsy merging those days to be too fast and leaving not enough space for psychedelic mind exploration. He also recently started to build a new style of sound in his mix that is more morning oriented, Its slower psychedelic music but with heavyer beets and deeper ambiance, even if a name is hard to apply this can be called Deep&Dark Progressive trance.
